Australian native animals are unique and provide us with not only an amazing photographic opportunity but a rich and deep human experience . Whilst Africa boasts about the big five, we have our own big five. These are of course the kangaroo, koala, wombat, platypus and echidna.   They are truly different and are undervalued by many. The koala is under serious threat and wild populations could disappear in the next twenty years or so. Its unfathomable to think this could really happen.
